Get to Know Ariel Tamez:
Why did you become a Student Ambassador?
I became a student ambassador because I love serving the UTD community and want to continue to share that bright energy with students, faculty, and alumni.
Campus Involvement:
American Institute of Graphic Arts – UTD’s Chapter President, Comet Marketing – Social Media Director, Freshman Mentor Program – Student Leadership Team Member & Mentor, Newman Catholic Ministry – Advertisements Officer, Capital One Design Scholars, and Nebula Scholars Program
What has surprised you most about yourself since starting at UTD?
UTD is a very inspiring place and the community has pushed me to become the best version of myself! Despite starting my first-year as a shy freshman, I have now grown into a strong leader on-campus and love meeting like-minded competitive individuals who are passionate about what they do.
Favorite UTD Tradition:
The Alma Mater because we sing it in a unique way before every ambassador meeting.
Interesting Fact:
I was a lead student ambassador at my high school too!
