MEET OUR SPEAKERS

Ron Nash, Chairman and CEO at Pivot3, MS’79

Ron is currently the Chairman and CEO at Pivot3, a leader in the hyper-converged infrastructure segment. Ron has successfully developed and grown multiple companies in the broader technology industry. His executive experience spans the range from small start-up companies to multi-billion-dollar global corporation.

Gordon Daugherty, Managing Director and Partner at Capital Factory

Gordon is an angel & VC investor, an active startup advisor, and Managing Director for Capital Factory’s Austin startup accelerator. He is also a Managing Director at SoftMatch and a board member for several Austin-based tech companies. He produces and facilitates Capital Factory’s popular, quarterly Founder’s Academy.

Steve Guengerich, Executive Director for the Institute for Innovation & Entrepreneurship and Clinical Associate Professor, UT Dallas.

Steve is the Executive Director for the IIE, where he leads an organization focused on launching innovative new ventures, both as startups and within existing businesses. The Institute draws on the full strength of UT Dallas and North Texas to provide startups the access they need to talent, capital, relationships, and other resources.

Christopher Bhatti MS’14, Assistant Dean at Erik Jonsson School of Engineering and Computer Science

Chris is the Assistant Dean for Development and Alumni Relations at the Erik Jonsson School of Engineering and Computer Science. He has spearheaded many efforts to expand engagement of the Jonsson School, including the Blackstone LaunchPad program at UT Dallas and the collaboration with top universities in China. In 2017, Chris was named a recipient of the Dallas Business Journal’s Minority Business Leader Award.
