UTD Campus

Davidson-Gundy
Alumni Center

“It's not just about a building. It's about a home.”

Charles “Chuck” Davidson MS'80, who along with Nancy Gundy Davidson BS'80 made a gift of $15 million to support the construction of the Alumni Center

The Davidson-Gundy Alumni Center is planned as an inspirational space that motivates aspiration among students and serves as a touchpoint for alumni, fostering connections between current alumni and alumni to come. Called a “gateway to the future” by its namesake donors, the facility is described by its architect as a building within a park and will feature screens designed to catch sunlight and create the illusion of comets moving through the cosmos. It will be the first campus facility that is solely designated for special use, designed to accommodate rentals for meetings, conferences and other events.

Amount of space (in square feet): nearly 30,000 (building), 33,000 (outdoors)

Indoor features: Inspiration Hall, 400-seat ballroom, conference center, lounge, meeting rooms, office space

Outdoor features: expansive patio, shaded grove, open lawn, ornamental trees, private garden

Naming Opportunities: Naming opportunities for the Davidson-Gundy Alumni Center are available to donors who want to show their support. Click here for details.
