About the Awards

Every year UT Dallas honors outstanding alumni and community leaders. While the backgrounds and contributions of the honorees vary greatly, they are all united by an astounding level of service and accomplishment. Their contributions and dedication bring credit to UT Dallas.

The Distinguished Alumni Award is the highest honor that the University bestows on its alumni. It is presented to individuals who are distinguished in their chosen professions or life's work and demonstrate pride in the University.

The Green and Orange Award for Alumni Service honors UT Dallas graduates who have provided exceptional volunteer support to the University.

The Gifford K. Johnson Community Leadership Award recognizes non-graduates of UT Dallas who have taken up the University’s cause with exceptional support, dedication, passion and enthusiasm for our vision of becoming a leading national research university.

The Undergraduate Alumni Achievement Award recipient presents the keynote address at Honors ConvocationThe Honors Convocation ceremony includes the formal recognition of the Undergraduate Alumni Achievement Award. The recipient is inducted as an honorary member of the UT Dallas Chapter of Phi Kappa Phi, which is one of the United States oldest and most prestigious honor societies.
