New Website Connects Jindal School Alumni, Students
Graduates of the Naveen Jindal School of Management can connect with classmates, students and other alumni through a new online networking platform called JindalConnect. Open to Jindal School students, alumni, faculty, staff and corporate friends, this private website gives alumni new tools to stay connected, share advice and advance professionally.

“JindalConnect is a great way for me to stay current on alumni updates, events and campus developments,” said E. Michelle Miller MS’05, MBA’15, research operations manager for CBRE’s Texas/Oklahoma region. “UT Dallas life is always moving fast and in many directions, so JindalConnect helps me keep up.”
While the website serves a bit as a social networking site similar to Facebook and LinkedIn, for Miller it also has a professional component she’s eager to access.
“I’m an active recruiter for my research team, so JindalConnect offers me the opportunity to learn more about recent graduates and new academic programs that might offer the type of talent I need on my team,” she said.
The JindalConnect website includes photo sharing for JSOM-related get-togethers; a search function to find alumni by class year, degree, location or industry; and the ability to create interest groups. Additionally, it helps connect current students and alumni with potential mentors.

“We have a lot of enthusiastic participation from our alums,” said Erica Yaeger, assistant dean for development and alumni relations at the Jindal School. “This site is great for career development, but also for straight connection purposes. If you’re heading to Chicago, for example, you could message a JSOM alumnus for a list of his favorite restaurants. Our alumni want to be engaged. This platform is just making being engaged easier.”
“I joined JindalConnect to stay in touch with people I've met through JSOM,” said Austin Higgins MBA’12, an independent technology consultant at Southwest Airlines. “I want to see where they are in their professional lives and find ways to help others. Alumni have always offered their time and advice to me, so I want to do the same.”
